There have been several reports of diagnoses of Canine Influenza in many states, including Georgia. We are highly recommending the vaccine series to be administered to canines that are to be boarded, groomed, or engage in activities that would expose them to the virus (dog parks, day care, etc.). As of now, the vaccine is not mandatory for patients that are being dropped off for a doctor check, or are here for grooming or boarding, but is highly recommended to maintain the health of the hospital and the patients we see. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Canine Influenza Virus or Bivalent Vaccine, don’t hesitate to call or speak with your doctor during your next visit.
