In times of crisis, families are often faced with incredibly difficult decisions, especially when it comes to the safety and care of their pets. With the ongoing wildfires across South Georgia, many households are experiencing displacement, uncertainty, and emotional stress as they navigate evacuation orders and changing conditions.
At Crestview Animal Hospital, our priority is always the well-being of pets and the people who love them. We understand that in emergencies, having a safe and reliable place for your pet can make all the difference.
Temporary Boarding Support During Evacuations
Here at Crestview Animal Hospital & Emergency, we are offering temporary boarding support at a reduced rate to pets from areas directly impacted by the wildfire evacuation orders. This initiative is designed to provide relief during an already overwhelming time, ensuring pets remain safe, cared for, and closely monitored.
Our boarding services are connected to the hospital facility, allowing us to provide not only comfort and supervision but also medical oversight if required. This means pets in our care can receive additional support should any health concerns arise during their stay.
Prioritizing Those Most in Need
To ensure this support reaches those most affected, boarding assistance will be reserved for pets from active wildfire evacuation areas. Proof of evacuation status may be requested during intake so we can appropriately prioritize availability and care.
We recognize how important it is to support the broader community fairly and effectively during emergencies, and this process helps us do just that.
Georgia Veterinary Medical Association (GVMA)
We are also proud to partner with GVMA in supporting pets and families throughout this challenging time. Working together within the veterinary community helps us extend our support and provide more comprehensive care when it is needed most.
