Dr. Fielding Etheridge, Cumming Veterinarian

Dr. Etheridge

Dr. Fielding Etheridge was raised in Georgia and earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University. After college, she relocated to Southern California, where she began working at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital—an experience that confirmed her passion for veterinary medicine and laid the foundation for her career.

While pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences, Dr. Etheridge continued working at VCA West Los Angeles, gaining hands-on clinical experience alongside her studies. She graduated with honors in 2024 and was highly involved in veterinary leadership and service, serving as President of the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association, a board member of the Veterinary Business Management Association, and a member of the California Veterinary Medical Association Animal Welfare Committee. She also co-founded a student-led clinic providing care to pets of the unhoused, which remains active today and has served hundreds of pets in the local community.

Following graduation, Dr. Etheridge returned to VCA West Los Angeles to complete a rotating small animal internship, receiving advanced training in emergency medicine, surgery, internal medicine, and other specialties. After her internship, she practiced both general and emergency medicine at multiple hospitals throughout the Los Angeles area.
Dr. Etheridge recently returned home to Georgia and now resides in Cumming with her cat and two dogs—one of whom, Diego, was rescued from the streets of Tijuana with a jaw fracture and was her patient during her internship. She adopted him, nursed him back to health, and he now enjoys a charmed life. Her professional interests include dermatology, animal welfare, pain management, diagnostic imaging, and preventive care.

Outside of work, Dr. Etheridge enjoys running, practicing yoga, hiking, spending time on the lake, and traveling. She also enjoys volunteering and has participated in multiple veterinary outreach trips to rural and underserved areas. Dr. Etheridge is excited to join the team at Crestview Animal Hospital & Emergency and looks forward to getting to know you and your pets!
